SHF Mobile Caravan & Trailer Services

SHF is a mobile business that inspects/services your caravans and trailers that may have broken down or just need a generalised service.

I do generalised services on hot water cylinder anodes, electric brakes and bearings on caravans/trailers. I've recently also started installing diesel heaters and diesel hot water units.

If any of the above information has sparked your interest feel free to visit the SHF Mobile Caravan & Trailer Service Facebook page (link below), contact me via Facebook or mobile on 0400 134 720 for more information.

About SHF image
While I’m based out of Howrah, Tasmania my business is mobile so I do travel to jobs depending on your location in Tasmania.

I generally service new and older caravans, boat trailers, work trailers and horse floats. While I do service trailers I don’t service truck trailers that have air brakes.

To avoid turning up to site and your caravan or trailer isn’t serviceable I required customers to fill out an information form prior to the service. This avoids unnecessary travelling as well as insuring I have the required parts for your caravan or trailer. If you’re not certain on whether your caravan or trailer is serviceable alternatively contact me via mobile or Facebook.

A general service on your caravan or trailer consists of looking, cleaning and changing of the wheel bearings, the checking/replacing of the hot water cylinder anodes (in caravans) and the testing, adjusting and cleaning of the electric brakes.

Time between services on your caravan/trailer depends on the state of it and what it’s used for. By undertaking a regular generalised service it can help to prevent wear and tear that occurs on the braking system and the erosion of hot water cylinder anodes.

I generally suggest if the caravan/trailer is used most days and has a rough work life then the caravan/trailer is recommended to be serviced every six months. If the caravan/trailer is not used on a regularly basis and doesn’t do much work then the recommended service is every twelve months.

Diesel heaters are a great idea to install in your caravan if you plan on staying somewhere prone to cold temperatures or don’t have access to available power to run your heater/heat pump.

When installing a diesel heater in your caravan I generally use the brands Belief and Eberspacher as they are reliable brands that come with a two year warranty.

While I recommend the above brands of diesel heaters I will install other brands of the same standards but I won’t provide warranty for them.
